CliniGene seeks additional partners to enter its Joint Programme Activity on the following topics:
Topic 1 : Non-viral integrating systems for clinical gene therapy and development of human iPS, in particular transposon based technology
Topic 2 : AAV for in vivo gene therapy, in particular mechanisms leading to tight transcription regulation
Topic 3 : Technology transfer to SMEs for: (i) systems which have benefited from common evaluation and fine-tuning inside the NoE; (ii) a technology that is believed to complement the CliniGene current portfolio with view to performing side to side comparisons with gene transfer technologies already evaluated within CliniGene.
General conditions:
One or at best two applicants only may be successful for Topic 1.
One applicant only may be successful for Topic 2.
Five applicants at most may be successful for Topic 3.
The applicant must seek integration within the CliniGene consortium through the establishment of a research and development project in common with partners, and a compulsory commitment to participate into the “Flexibility funds” internal programme. Sub-contracting of a service will not be eligible.
Evaluation will be performed according to the excellency of the proposed research. In addition, integration into the ongoing activities of the Network will be of paramount importance. When applying to Topic 3 involving SMEs, the evaluators will also consider the applicant’s potential for maximising the socio-economic impact.

Topic 1: € 130.000,00
Topic 2: € 65.000,00
Topic 3: € 150.000,00
Participation in project : until September 2011 (with planned extension of the EC contract)
