Viral Vectors in Gene Therapy: Applications & Novel Production Methods Advanced Symposium and EMBO Practical Course
University of Eastern Finland- A.I. Virtanen Institute, Kuopio, Finland
August 26 – September 4, 2010
1. Symposium: August 26th – 30th.

In two round tables exploitation perspectives and ethics and regulatory issues have been discussed.
2. EMBO practical course: August 31st – September 4th.
25 participants have been selected to attend a practical training session, held over 6 days so as to limit the time away from work. The practical training offered free of additional charge, once you have registered. The practical course was designed for PhD students, post-docs and investigators working, or planning to work, in gene therapy and who are new to the field of AAV, BV and LV vectors. The selected participants have presented themselves with one-slide presentation during the symposium. Therefore, undergraduate students especially were strongly encouraged to clearly describe themselves and their project!
